Essentially, therapy is a talking process where you work with your Mind Advantage professionally trained counsellor (either Psychologist or Psychotherapist) to develop understanding about yourself in order to make positive and lasting changes in your life.

During the first session we discuss with you what is happening in your life and what you would like to change or achieve from attending therapy. It is important that you feel comfortable and safe with your therapist - that you have a good rapport.

After your initial session, the therapist will then meet with you on a regular basis (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) for a full hour. The Mind Advantage Counsellor will aim to help you clarify what is the real issue, what is holding you back and teach you tools to manage your situation.

Counselling is a confidential* process in a supportive and healing environment, where you have the space to discuss difficulties and learn how to transform them, heal past and current pain and set positive goals for your future.
